Boris-Carlos Morph
This animation was generated by combining eleven still images, nine of which were morphed hybrids generated in a version prior to release 3. The morph is fairly simple, using 23 feature lines, but the result is quite convincing (although limited by frame rate and compression artifacts on this page). A particularly effective aspect is the glint in the eyes, which smoothly transitions between the two primates. Only one line was used to morph the eyes, and that was drawn with each end over a glint. One of the major failings is the way textures fade and aren't themselves morphed - the program alters the shape of the image, but not its textures, as is the case with most similar programs. From my initial observations fewer feature lines seems to result in intermediates with more convincing textures. (The animation shows a section of the morph).
